Overview
The Scadding Court Community Centre website is a content-rich community platform built on WordPress with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). As part of the development team at Idea Theorem, I'm responsible for ongoing maintenance, feature enhancements, content architecture updates, and client-requested improvements — keeping the site secure, scalable, and easy for non-technical staff to manage.
Challenges
Editor-Dependent Content
Page sections that weren't yet ACF-driven required developer involvement for routine updates, slowing down the centre's ability to publish event and program information.
Navigation & Information Architecture
As the site grew, menus and page structure needed to evolve to keep community programs, events, and resources easy to find.
Ongoing Security & Stability
A public-facing WordPress site needs continuous core and plugin updates, bug fixes, and cross-browser testing to stay secure and reliable.

ACF-Based Content Development
Developed and maintained dynamic page sections using Advanced Custom Fields — hero banners, content sections, CTA blocks, image galleries, event information, community program content, and flexible page layouts — so administrators can manage content without touching code.
New Page Development
Built new pages based on client requirements while maintaining design consistency and responsiveness across devices.
Navigation & UX Improvements
Restructured menus and improved the user journey based on client feedback, alongside general UI enhancements and responsive fixes.
Website Maintenance
Handled WordPress core and plugin updates, security improvements, bug fixes, performance optimizations, and browser compatibility testing on an ongoing basis.
